MEET OUR PASTOR
Welcome to our Minster Trisha Gilbertson.
Rev. Trisha Gilbertson was confirmed as our pastor in June 2018.
Born and raised in Indianapolis, and having spent eight formative years in Phoenix, AZ, the hills of southern Indiana provide the perfect landscape for this mountain-loving Midwesterner.
When Trish was 12 years old on a youth work trip with her church, she told her pastor that she wanted to grow up and marry a pastor. He responded, “Why don’t you grow up and be a pastor.”
A decade or so later she enrolled at Fuller Theological Seminary. After completing her studies, she served as Associate Pastor at Friedens UCC in Indianapolis and was ordained in 2016.
Trish brings to St. Luke’s her strong desire to connect with God and people. From her Sunday morning messages to her interactions with the local community, Trish seeks to make space for the Living Christ to be made known in our midst.
In addition to doing what she loves at St. Luke’s, Trish enjoys reading (alone or to her young son), being active (yoga’s her favorite) and consuming her husband’s fancy schmancy, pour-over coffee (#coffeesnob).
